Parcels, Postboxes, and Proof of Posting

With over 110,000 available around the UK, Postboxes are ideally suited for a quick and easy local drop off option for your parcels. Available 24/7 for your convenience.

There are two main types of Postboxes that can be used to drop off parcels: 

  • If your parcel is up to a maximum size of 45cm x 35cm x 16cm, then our Parcel Postboxes are the perfect solution for your medium sized parcels.
  • Our Regular Postboxes are not just for letters! They're a great drop off option for your small parcels (if they can fit through a letterbox). We’d recommend your parcel is no thicker than 45 x 200 x 250mm. Our Postboxes come in all shapes and sizes, but most can take a parcel that’s up to 5cm thick and 20cm wide and some will take even larger items.

Any Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed items, Royal Mail International Tracked Returns without a barcode on the label must be posted in a Post Office branch and cannot be dropped off a a Parcel Postbox.

 
Parcel Postboxes are only available for pre-paid items. If you are sending using a Royal Mail Business Account, you can find details of how to prepare your items and where to drop them off here.

 
Any Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed items, Royal Mail International Tracked items, or Royal Mail Tracked Returns cannot be dropped off at a Postbox. Visit our Parcel Points Page to find out where you can post these items.
