Withdrawal of the Selectapost service
Royal Mail will stop offering the Selectapost service on 31 May 2025.
From 2nd June, Mail will be delivered as normal. There will be no preparation prior to delivery.
There is no alternate Royal Mail service to replace this. However customers with large volumes of mail may consider our Pre-sorted Delivery.

How does Selectapost work?
- Sign up for a minimum of one year, then renew either quarterly or annually
- Supply a list of up to 25 categories for your mail to be sorted into
- We’ll deliver your sorted mail on our usual rounds
Once you’re up and running, you can make changes to the number or categories of selections.
You choose the categories that you want your mail sorted by. It can be department, unit, division, workstream - whatever works for you, so long as it appears in your business address.

To use Selectapost you’ll need to have a Royal Mail account and be spending at least £5,000 a year with Royal Mail. If you have an Account Manager, they can discuss Selectapost with you.
If you have one or more PO Boxes for your address, with Selectapost your mail can be ready sorted using the PO Box as a selection.

What do I do now?
You don’t need to do anything. We’ll continue to provide your Selectapost service until 31 May 2025.
Your mail will be delivered without any pre-sortation from 2 June 2025.
You will continue to be billed until 31 May 2025.
I want to cancel my Selectapost service now – how do I do this?
Your Selectapost service will stop on 31st May 2025 and so you do not need to do anything. However, if you want to cancel ahead of this date, please you can let us know by
