Parcel Lockers are an easy, convenient way for you to drop off parcels 7 days a week. 

We created these lockers as we want to make it as convenient as possible for you to send and return parcels, fitting them around your daily routines and to cater for people with a range of different lifestyles.

Royal Mail’s Parcel Lockers are an extension of our parcel drop off options, and provide an easy, convenient way for you to send and return your parcels.
 

Find your nearest parcel locker

To find your nearest parcel locker, add your postcode to our Services Near You page and toggle to the red ‘Postbox’ section to find your nearest Royal Mail Parcel Locker. It’ll have a red icon which looks like a small locker.

Which services are available at Royal Mail Parcel Lockers?

You can use a variety of Royal Mail services at our lockers, including:

  • Tracked Returns
  • 1st Class (including 1st Class Signed For)
  • 2nd Class (including 2nd Class Signed For)
  • Tracked
  • International (Tracked, Tracked & Signed, Standard, and Economy)

Please note that Special Delivery Guaranteed, Special Delivery Guaranteed returns, and non-barcoded items are excluded.
 

Parcel sizes for Royal Mail Parcel Lockers

When you’re sending a parcel using one of our lockers, your parcel must meet the following size dimensions:

  • Small Parcels (max. W34cm x H10.5cm x D58cm)
  • Medium Parcels (max. W34cm x H23cm x D58cm)
  • Large Parcels (max. W34cm x H61cm x D58cm)

Please ensure you are scanning the barcodes – either the 2d barcode or long barcode.

You can manually enter the barcode by typing in the barcode numbers (please ensure you do not use hyphen when entering the 2d barcode number manually)

If the screen continues to advise the barcode is not correct, you’ll not be able to drop your item off at the parcel locker. Please visit alternative posting options.

You can scan either barcode on the parcel.

If your barcode wont scan please ensure you’re not placing it too close to the scanner. Check the brightness on your device is sufficient for the barcode to be read. If the barcode is creased the scanner will not be able to read it.

You can select the option to re-print your label if it is jammed, however it is likely the jamming could continue. You can visit the link for alternative posting options and/or log any jammed or printer issues via the webform via this webform.

No, Royal Mail cannot accept items with no labels on; other providers offer this service, but we do not.

Only items with a barcode can be dropped off at a parcel locker as stated on the screen of the locker when you post.

Your item will be returned back to you if it is posted without a label.

The barcode can only be scanned and can’t be entered manually.

The following products are included:

1st Class, 2nd Class, Tracked (pre-paid), Signed For, International (Tracked, Tracked & Signed, Standard and Economy) and Tracked Returns.

Please check your junk email folder. Posting receipts are emailed to the email address you’ve entered.

Most parcel lockers are accessible 24/7. Where a parcel locker is located within premises, restricted hours of access may apply.

You won’t receive an email receipt for your item.

If the parcel locker door won't open, it is because it is full. Please check our alternative posting options.

If the parcel locker door is not opening, you’ll not be able to drop your item off at the parcel locker. Please check our alternative posting options.

Collections from parcel lockers are from 16:00 Monday to Friday and 10:30 on Saturdays. There are no collections on Sundays or public/bank holidays.

Yes, there is no charge to print your label at the locker.

In the event you need to make a claim for loss, damage or delay, your email receipt will form basic evidence. Information on what is required when making a claim can be found on our Claims Centre.
