Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay
As an Official Sponsor of the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay, Royal Mail has planned and coordinated the movement of the Queen’s Baton across the Commonwealth, facilitating the delivery of Baton Kit Cases to the 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth.
The Relay began on 7 October 2021 with Her Majesty The Queen placing her Message to the Commonwealth into the Baton and will end its 294 day-long journey at the Birmingham 2022 Opening Ceremony on 28 July.
Royal Mail has also delivered the official uniform packages to a selection of Batonbearers ahead of the Baton tour of England.
Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Special Stamps launch
Royal Mail will be revealing details and images of Special Stamps commemorating the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in July.
Royal Mail have unveiled five special postboxes across the UK in celebration of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The postboxes are decorated in vibrant pink and purple and include graphics and encouraging messages to participating teams. The postboxes are located across the UK in Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.
Nigel Huddleston MP and Minister for Commonwealth Games recently unveiled the Birmingham postbox.
